A letter from Quorus CEO John Hill

When Scott and I founded Quorus last summer, we set out to build a sophisticated and independent personalized investing platform for advisors and asset managers. The past nine months have allowed us to establish an incredible product foundation, complete our regulatory requirements, and build relationships with early clients.

The direct indexing market is evolving quickly, and to realize our vision for Quorus, we needed to build an outstanding team.

The most apparent need for our team was early hires who could help Quorus move faster and lend their expertise to the business. Equally important was to build a group of investors who could act as thought partners, connectors, and advocates for our company.

We are thrilled to share that we found both. Led by the team at New Stack Ventures, we closed our first round of capital in March. This round included an outstanding group of industry veterans and startup founders. We feel incredibly fortunate to be working with this team.

With the infusion of capital, we built an outstanding team of early hires. One of the cultural pillars of Quorus is what we refer to as being a “heat seeker.” Heat seekers are massively talented and driven individuals. They are the type of people who find an opportunity and will work tenaciously to realize their potential. 

The core of our business is managing money for individuals and their families. While we need to move fast, we will always act in the best interest of our clients. It’s not just enough to be a heat seeker. To succeed, we need a team of heat seekers dedicated to doing the right thing for our clients.

We found a team of incredible heat seekers to join the Quorus family. We will introduce you to these individuals more in the months ahead, but Scott and I feel incredibly lucky that they have joined the Quorus family.

The coming year will be an exciting time for Quorus. We are investing heavily in the advisor’s experience, building tools that show the value of our approach for an advisor’s clients, and streamlining the platform.

We also continue to build and deepen our relationship with asset managers, adding strategies to our platform and integrating with proprietary wealth management platforms.
